Rillettes

Rillettes are a speciality food which are typically French. Essentially they are a shredded version of the product from which they are made combined with other ingredients.

For instance Duck Rillettes consist of shredded duck meat cooked with herbs and spices and duck fat. They are typically served spread on toast and then grilled, compliment this with a good fruity chutney for a delicious lunchtime snack.
